WWF PPV 00

- - 2000 Royal Rumble - -
January 23 in New York City, NY (MSG)
(Home Video (VG/EX) or Live (VG))
Kurt Angle vs. An Unnamed Opponent- Tazz's WWF debut. Tazz choked out Angle and later, they showed doctors attending to Kurt. He was asking if he had won the match. Funny.
Tag Team Table Match: the Hardy Boys vs. The Dudley Boyz- Great match, the first Tag Team Table Match. All 4 men took awesome bumps.
Miss Rumble 2000 Bikini Contest: Terri/The Kat/Luna/B.B./Ivory/Jackie/Mae Young- Your basic WWF T n A but Mae Young showed us her 78 year old Blood Hounds (puppies). They were fake but dammit, they looked real to me. Very nasty.
IC Title Match: Hardcore Holly vs. Chyna vs. Chris Jericho
Tag Team Title Match: The Acolytes vs. New Age Outlaws
WWF Title, Street Fight Match: Cactus Jack vs. HHH- One of HHH's best matches to date. He bladed early and his face was covered in blood almost the entire match. He also took a nasty fall onto some pallets which looked like some wood dug into his calf. Thumbtacks were used and in the end, there were many in Cactus Jack's face.
Royal Rumble- The Rock won the 2000 Royal Rumble by eliminating the Big Show. The Rock's feet actually touched the ground first as was proven later. The Big Show and the Rock had a match at the next PPV, No Way Out to see who would go to Wrestlemania 16 (2000) to face the champion. Rikishi played a good part in this match near the beginning.
- - 2000 No Way Out - -
February 27 in Hartford, CT
(Home Video (VG/EX) or Live (VG))
IC Title Match: Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho- Kurt has been in the WWF for only 4 months and already becomes the new IC champion. He is a great heel, and deserves the reward.
Tag Team Title Match: The Dudley Boyz vs. The New Age Outlaws- The Dudleys are finally on top of the red hot, tag team division.
Mark Henry vs. Viscera
Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boys- Terri returns but turns on the Hardys after a very good match as you would expect. The Acolytes beat up the Hardys after the match and Faarooq does an awkward Dominator on Jeff Hardy that looked really painful.
Tazz vs. Big Boss Man
No DQ: Kane vs. X-Pac- X-Pac pulls off the upset.
Too Cool and Rikishi vs. Benoit, Saturn, and Malenko
The Big Show vs. The Rock- The Rock is about to win but Shane McMahon returns after being out for 2 months and helps the Big Show win and is now the number one contender to go to Wrestlemania 2000 (XVI 16). Major upset!
WWF Title, Hell In A Cell Match: Cactus Jack vs. HHH- Mick Foley's career is on the line. Just like the other HIAC classic matches (excluding the WM 15 one), both men were in bad shape and very bloody. Foley and HHH both take bumps but Foley falls off the cage onto a table and through the top of the cage, onto the ring like he did in KOTR '98. HHH pulls off the victory and Cactus Jack is forced to retire. Great match. This PPV was full of upsets.
- - 2000 Wrestlemania 15 - -
April 2, 2000 in Anaheim, CA
(Home Video (VG/EX))
D'Lo and the Godfather vs. The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan- Ice T came to the ring singing his annoying Godfather music from the Aggression CD. Why was this match on the card?
Hardcore Title Match: Wrestlers Included: Tazz, Viscera, Mean Street Posse, Hollys, Kaientai, Headbangers, and The Acolytes
Head Cheese vs. T n A
Tag Team Title, Ladder Match: Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boys vs. The Dudley Boyz- Very good, hardcore ladder match. There were ladders and broken tables all over the place, not to mention broken bodies. Edge and Christian win the tag titles for their first time.
IC and Euro Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle- Kurt Angle loses both titles without being pinned.
Chyna and Too Cool vs. Malenko, Saturn, and Guerrero
Cat Fight: The Kat vs. Terri Runnels- Sorry guys, no nudity although you could see both of their asses quite nicely through what they were wearing.
Rikishi and Kane vs. X-Pac and Road Dogg- Pete Rose fails once again to get revenge on Kane after the match. He says he will have to wait until next year.
WWF Title Match: Mick Foley vs. The Big Show vs. The Rock vs. HHH- Finally the champions were coming out last throughout this ppv, something that should always happen that annoys me when it doesn't. Good fatal four way match with a McMahon in each corner. HHH vs. The Rock in the end but good ol' Vince McMahon helps HHH retain the title, as it was probably the biggest upset and surprise ever in the WWF. Everyone was picking the Rock or Mick Foley to win. Great Match.
- - 2000 Backlash - -
April 30 in Washington, DC
(Home Video (VG))
Tag Team Title Match: X-Pac and Road Dogg vs. Edge and Christian- Deborah, who has been gone since the last Survivor Series, comes to guest ring announce for this match. Mic work was never her strong point. Edge hit X-Pac with the bell that cut him wide open on the head, no blading.
Lightweight Title Match: Scotty Too Hotty vs. Dean Malenko- Malenko wins with a devastating DDT from the top rope.
Big Boss Man vs. The Acolytes
Hardcore Match: Wrestlers Included: Hardys, Hollys, Tazz, and Saturn
Kurt Angle vs. The Showster- The Big Show comes out and acts and dresses like Hulk Hogan did back in his WWF days with his old American Hero music. A great and perfect impersonation and the crowd loved it. "Well you know something Kurt Angle dude!"
Dudley Boyz vs. T n A- Buh Buh Ray finally gives Trish Stratus wood by putting her through a table.
Euro Title Match: Essa Rios vs. Eddy Guerrero- Chyna gets stripped to her bra and panties. I am not sure what to think of it but there are better looking women I would rather see than her.
IC Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit- Good match but nobody liked the DQ ending.
WWF Title Match: The Rock vs. HHH- Your typical Rock/HHH match with the crowd into it. Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his TV return to hit HHH and everyone else that was with him with a chair and leaves. The Rock wins the title with his help for the 4th time to a huge ovation. HHH had a great 4 month title run but it was, "Game Over". Steve Austin and the Rock have a beer in the end to close the show. Awesome ending.
- - 2000 Judgment Day - -
May 21 in Louisville, KY
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle vs. Too Cool and Rikishi
Euro Title Match: Perry Saturn vs. Dean Malenko vs. Eddy Guerrero
NO DQ: Big Show vs. Shane McMahon- Your obvious interference so that Shane could pick up the win.
IC Title, Submission Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit- A really good match as you would expect. I am sure that it received at least 4 stars.
Table Match: X-Pac and Road Dogg vs. The Dudley Boyz
WWF Title, Iron Man Match: HHH vs. The Rock- An excellent match in my view with the living legend, Shawn Michaels as the guest referee. HBK calls it right down the middle, until the end which had a unique twist. In the last minute, The Undertaker returns, finally after being out for about 8-9 months, and comes to the ring. He chokeslams HHH and HBK calls for a DQ which allowed HHH to take the led in pinfalls and earn him his 4th WWF championship. I don't agree with having the title switch back to HHH so quickly but this was an excellent match.
- - 2000 King Of The Ring - -
June 25 in Boston, MA
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Quarterfinal Matches:

Chris Benoit vs. Rikishi
Val Venis vs. Eddie Guerrero
Crash Holly vs. Bull Buchanan- What kind of KOTR match is this?
Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle
Tag Team Title Match: Too Cool vs. Edge and Christian vs. T n A vs. Hardy Boys- Edge and Christian become the tag team champions as they should. They are the most entertaining tag team in the WWF right now.
Semifinal Matches:
Rikishi vs. Val Venis
Crash Holly vs. Kurt Angle
Evening, Hardcore Title Match: Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson- Crash comes in and wins the hardcore title.
Handicap, Table, Dumpster Match: Road Dogg, X-Pac, and Tori vs. Dudley Boyz
Finals Match:
Rikishi vs. Kurt Angle- Although I predicted it and so did everyone else, it's nice to see Kurt Angle win the KOTR. Or should we call him King Kurt?
WWF Title Match: Undertaker, Kane, and The Rock vs. HHH, Vince, and Shane- The Rock pins Vince and becomes the new champion for the 5th time. HHH loses the title without begin pinned which is a bad move.
- - 2000 Fully Loaded - -
July 23 in Dallas, TX
(Home Video (VG/EX))
T n A and Trish Stratus vs. Hardy Boys and Lita- Good match with the Hardy's and Lita flying all over the place and a good start to the ppv.
Tazz vs. Al Snow
European Title Match: Perry Saturn vs. Eddy Guerrero- Saturn has WWF gold for the first time.
Tag Team Title Match: Acolytes vs. Edge and Christian- Cheap DQ but I smell a rematch at possibly SummerSlam.
IC Title, Steel Cage Match: Rikishi vs. Val Venis- Rikishi splashes Val from the top of the cage! Bump of the show right there as not too many 400+ pounders do that very often but Val retains the title due to a run in by The Human Interference Machine, Tazz.
Shane McMahon/The Rock Interview- Chris Benoit is in the back, ripping up the Rock's shirts.
Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle
Last Man Standing Match: HHH vs. Chris Jericho- Great match as I expected. I though HHH would pass out from the Lion Tamer Walls of Jericho like the rumor going around said but it never happened. HHH wins by standing up at 9 with Jericho never getting to his feet.
WWF Title Match: Chris Benoit vs. The Rock- Title can change hands via a DQ. It looked like Benoit won the title but it was not to be. The last thing the Rock needs is another short title reign. Good ppv and great comeback from a poor King Of The Ring.
- - 2000 SummerSlam - -
August 27 in Raleigh, NC
(Home Video (VG/EX) or Live (G/VG))
Right To Censor vs. Too Cool and Rikishi
Road Dogg vs. X-Pac
IC Title Match: Chyna and Eddy Guerrero vs. Trish Stratus and Val Venis- Chyna gets the pinfall and wins the IC title for the second time.
Jerry Lawler vs. Tazz
Hardcore Title Match: Steve Blackman vs. Shane McMahon- Shane takes a 40 feet fall (not 75 like they said). Pretty cool bump.
Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit- Amazing match, just like they always put on.
TLC Match (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs): The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz- Great match, just like Wrestlemania where everyone took crazy hits.
The Kat vs. Terri
Kane vs. Undertaker- UT rips off Kane's mask but we don't see much. Match is thrown out.
WWF Title Match: Kurt Angle vs. HHH vs. The Rock- Kurt suffers a concussion and he's almost out of the match completely. Decent match but nothing special.
- - 2000 Unforgiven - -
September 24 in Philadelphia, PA
(Home Video (VG/EX) or Live (G/VG))
Dudley Boyz and The Acolytes vs. RTC
Strap Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Tazz- The debut of Raven.
Hardcore Match: Steve Blackman vs. Al Snow vs. Crash vs. Test vs. Saturn vs. Funaki
X-Pac vs. Chris Jericho
Steel Cage, Tag Team Title Match: The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian- Pretty good match with the Hardys picking up the win and the tag titles for the second time.
IC Title Match: Rikishi vs. Eddy Guerrero- Bad match.
Kurt Angle vs. HHH- Mick Foley referees the match but nothing special happens and the match is only okay.
Shane McMahon Interview- Steve Austin comes in to stun Shane and Steve Blackman.
WWF Title Match: Undertaker vs. Kane vs. Chris Benoit vs. The Rock- Two straight PPVs with only an average main event.
- - 2000 No Mercy - -
October 29 in Albany, NY
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Dudley Invitational (Tables Matches)
Lo Down vs. Too Cool
Too Cool vs. Raven and Tazz
Raven and Tazz vs. The Dudley Boyz
The Dudley Boyz vs. Goodfather and Bull Buchanan
T n A/Acolytes Brawl
Steel Cage Match: X-Pac vs. Chris Jericho
Billy Gunn and Chyna vs. Val Venis and Steven Richards
NO DQ: Rikishi vs. Steve Austin- Austin's return match but not a wrestling match at all, just a weak brawl where Steve tries to run over Rikishi. Bad return match.
Euro Title Match: Mideon vs. William Regal
Tag Team Title Match: Los Conquistadors vs. The Hardy Boyz- Los Conquistadors win but you can still tell that they are Edge and Christian.
Chris Benoit vs. HHH- Finally, the first real good match of the night.
WWF Title Match: Kurt Angle vs. The Rock- Angle has no shot right? Well, he defeats The Rock here and wins the WWF Title for his first time and the Rock's 4 month title reign comes to an end. Great first year for Kurt Angle in the WWF.
- - 2000 Survivor Series - -
November 19 in Tampa, FL
(Home Video (VG/EX))
T n A and Trish Stratus vs. Crash, Molly, and Steve Blackman
"Survivor Series Match": K-Kwik, Road Dogg, Chyna, and Billy Gunn vs. Radicals
Chris Jericho vs. Kane
Euro Title Match: Hardcore Holly vs. William Regal
Rikishi vs. The Rock- Better match than I thought it would be, considering Rikishi was involved.
WWF Title Match: Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle- I thought Angle wasn't going to go a PPV with a win but I was wrong as he has his brother distract Undertaker for the win.
"Survivor Series Match": Edge, Christian, Bull Buchanan, and Goodfather vs. The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz
Steve Austin vs. HHH- Disappointing match with a crazy ending as Austin drops HHH in a car from about 40 ft. Well, at least that's what it looked like.
- - 2000 Armageddon - -
December 10 in Birmingham, AL
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Elimination Match: Lita and the Hardy Boyz vs. Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Eddy Guerrero
Euro Title Match: Hardcore Holly vs. William Regal
Chyna vs. Val Venis
Several Interviews by many WWF Superstars throughout the ppv.
Last Man Standing Match: Chris Jericho vs. Kane
Tag Team Title Match: Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. K-Kwik and the Road Dogg vs. RTC
IC Title Match: Billy Gunn vs. Chris Benoit
Women's Title Match: Molly Holly vs. Trish Stratus vs. Ivory
Hell in a Cell, WWF Title Match: Rikishi vs. The Rock vs. HHH vs. Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle- Surely Angle loses the title here, right? Nope. His first title reign continues to grow as he wins a sub-par, over-hyped match.
